Lago del Desierto
Full day excursion from El Chaltén. Take road 23 north (gravel road), and travel 27 km in a region of small waterfalls and glacier valleys, bordering Rio de las Vueltas river, ideal for fishing; continue to the end of the road and you will discover Lago del Desierto lake, an emerald green lake sorrounded with native flora and glaciers.

Camping site available, no groceries. Nautical excursions options from November to March. Walking trails.

IMPORTANT:
Expect some sinuous curves and/or poor condition roads in the area. No gas stations available during the trip.
